Bots such as OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot read sites to answer people. Blocking them hides you.
The page lets its text be quoted
Signals such as nosnippet keep Google's AI Overviews and others from quoting your page.
The text shows without JavaScript
Most of these bots do not run JavaScript; what is not in the HTML they do not see.
Structured data (Schema)
Schema tells machines who you are, what you offer and where, in words they read directly.
